Lewis County is home to four seasons of activities, including a large variety of trails and breathtaking scenery. While thousands of visitors flock to the region every year, for residents, the stunning beauty and outdoor activities are everyday life.

Within the county, the terrain varies from the Adirondack Forest Preserve to the Black River Valley to the Tug Hill Plateau. Located between Lake Ontario and the Adirondacks, the county’s Tug Hill sees the most snowfall in the eastern portion of the nation, providing endless adventures for the winter enthusiast.
