As an economic development organization, Naturally Lewis, Inc.’s impact on the community is seen as businessdevelopment and support services, property and site development, and tourism development and promotion.This work enhances the local tax base, strengthens the local workforce, fosters entrepreneurship, and ensureslong-term economic sustainability. In the summer of 2024, Naturally Lewis, Inc. and its administered entities came together for strategic planning ledby Christie Andrus-Nakano, owner of Human Factor Leadership. The four boards of directors of the economicdevelopment engines in Lewis County came together to develop a well-rounded a wholistic approach tointentional economic development. As a result, the 2025-2027 strategic plan for Naturally Lewis, Inc. has fourstrategic pillars:

To make this strategic plan actionable, Naturally Lewis, Inc. has identified key three-year initiatives to execute thisintentional roadmap for economic development:

  • Building Our Community: Developing businesses, properties, place, and tourism.
  • Inspiring People: Developing business and community leaders, youth engagement, resident pride-in-place,and entrepreneurship.
  • Partnering & Collaborating: Growing regional and state economic development partnerships, tourismpartnerships, county and municipal partnerships, and strengthening the foundations of thriving communities.
  • Sustaining Our Legacy: Growing the Naturally Lewis Membership, strategic funding development,expanding community partnerships, and advancing compliance, policy, and systems development.
