North Country Broadband making progress

August 15, 2018

North Country Broadband is a few towers closer to providing Lewis County with full high speed internet options in rural areas of the County.

North Country Broadband officials just announced that two new towers are active and providing internet access to Lewis County residents.  One tower, located in the town of Harrisburg, covers a portion of Tug Hill that has little to no stable internet access.  The second tower, located on the Number 3 Road, just outside of Lowville, NY is providing the same opportunity for residents.  High speed internet in rural areas of our County will provide numerous opportunities in economic development, business development, education, residents who may want to move here, the number of people that can work from home, and so much more!

NCB encourages residents to sign-up on their website for early registration.  The more residents in a single area that sign-up, the quicker the access to high speed internet will become.

The list below provides a brief timeline of interent implementation throughout the County.  If you are interesting in early registration, go to https://mynorthcountrybroadband.com/broadband/!
