Grant Assistance for Tug Hill Vineyard

April 13, 2016

The Lewis County Economic Development office has worked with US Department of Agriculture to provide a $40,000 grant to the Tug Hill Vineyard. The funding is for a project completed in the fall of 2015 that increased the wine production capacity at the Vineyard.

Given the growth of the business, the ability to produce more wine was critical to future operations and is expected to increase employment at the Vineyard by two to four staff over the next five years. The USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant is a program to assist small businesses with projects that will increase employment in small communities.
